Working draft. BloomySeeds to confirm the business address, Eircode and VAT details in brackets before launch.

This policy explains what the BloomySeeds Garden Companion does with your information. We keep it simple and we collect as little as we can.

Who we are

BloomySeeds is operated by Dario Addabbo, a sole trader based in Longford, Ireland [full business address and Eircode]. For anything to do with your data, email dario@bloomyseeds.com.

What we collect

• Your email address, if you choose to join the newsletter.
• Your garden choices (county, what you're growing, whether you're new to gardening). These are stored on your own device, not sent to us, unless you sign up.
• A record of your cookie choices, for our compliance records.
• Basic analytics, only if you allow analytics cookies.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

• Newsletter: to send you the weekly garden email. Basis: your consent.
• Garden tools: to give you the right advice for your area. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a useful tool, kept to the minimum.
• Analytics and marketing: only with your consent.

We ask for a county, not your full address, because that's all the calendar needs. That's data minimisation in practice.

Who we share it with

We use a few trusted providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf under data protection agreements, and we keep data in the EU where we can:

• Supabase, for our database and accounts.
• Vercel, for hosting.
• Hostinger and WooCommerce, for the shop and product catalog.
• Our email provider, for the newsletter.

When you buy seeds, the purchase happens on bloomyseeds.com under that store's own terms and privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe. Consent records are kept as long as we need them for compliance. Garden choices live on your device until you clear them.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask to see your data, get a copy, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email dario@bloomyseeds.com and we'll sort it. You can change cookie choices any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

AI features

We don't use any AI assistant in the app yet. If we add one, we'll tell you clearly that its answers are AI-generated guidance, not professional advice, and we won't send it more of your personal data than it needs.

If something goes wrong

If there's a data breach that puts you at risk, we'll notify the Irish Data Protection Commission within 72 hours where the rules require it, and tell you if you're affected.
